How To Cheer Up A Cancer Patient
Sunday, 18 October 2009
My mom's in Singapore GH, recuperating from a surgery called pleuraldysis (spelling?) done on her lungs in an attempt to stop fluid from accumulating between the lungs and its pleural lining. Dad's with her there to give her physical and emotional support--but as you can imagine, spending 2 weeks in a hospital environment is not the most uplifting of experiences.
So what I did was to upload this video of the kids on youtube, sent a text message to my dad to search for it, and asked him to watch it with mom at her bedside.
They watched it over and over. It totally made their days. 🙂
