Eating on the Run

You know you're not a kid anymore when opting for McDonald's is a question of necessity rather than want.
Yesterday I was inching along Federal Highway with one hand on the wheel and the other carefully cradling a limp, cold double cheeseburger that was my express dinner before M! rehearsals in Sunway. It was a less than perfect situation, of course--ideally I would have left work at 5, come home for a proper home-cooked meal and a bit of a rest, take my time to change into more comfortable clothing and only then head out for the evening.
McDonald's. I have a lot of childhood memories associated to ordering from their menu. They were either a real treat (remember those birthday parties parents would organise for their kids?) or it meant that my parents had yet another falling out, and that my brother and I were with my dad to get dinner because mom would have locked herself up in her room.
Today I visit McDonald's when I need to rush off somewhere after work, and have no time to go home for dinner first. Or if I feel like eating at my desk at lunchtime without having to use utensils so as to free a hand to attempt to clear my Inbox of 3,000+ of unread e-mails.
Yeah, I've definitely aged.
...
Time to hit the sack. I'm no longer a spring chicken.

McDonalds has good sundae’s… 🙂 Not the best, but decent for the price you pay.
Heheh, I agree! When in secondary school my car pool friends and I used to stop by McD’s in Bangsar to get sundaes and fries. The fries went into the sundaes first before we ate them… yum…
