Day 10: My World In 2 Dimensions
Wednesday, 6 November 2013
I realise now even more than ever, that the process of creating is just as important as the final creation itself.
I purposely took a photo of my paper cutting while still resting on my cutting mat, together with all the scraps that would otherwise have been thrown away.
To me this is very significant, because when we design/create our lives, we carve out the bits we want to have, and put aside all the bits that we do not want, or which we think are not important.
It is critical that we acknowledge the existence of these unwanted elements in the first place, otherwise we would not recognise them as things that we can do without.
As for the cutting mat, I feel that my life is a constant work in progress. I'll need to be ready to improve it at any time.
