Confinement Month, Day 10

Saturday, 29 September 2012

We’ve found our rhythm. Sean is definitely an angel or textbook baby. He’s predictable, sweet tempered (he smiles even while awake) and only cries when he really needs attention. I love watching all his different facial expressions, and looking at his fingers and toes. I let him suck on my nose occasionally, when I’m checking to see if he’s hungry.

Every day has flown past in a blur. I’m comfortable and happy.

I do a bit of work. Lots of wholesale enquiries coming in, and new business opportunities to evaluate. I spend a bit of time “window shopping” online. I try and think of ways to keep the older kids occupied in the afternoons that they spend here (blowing bubbles in the garden has been a regular activity which they all seem to enjoy).

And when I feel the need to, I lie down for a bit of a snooze while Sean does the same.

You know what they say—there’s the calm before the storm. The year end certainly looks PACKED with things to do, and I guess this is the period where I bunker down and do as much planning as I can before the real execution starts.
