Fragmented Mind

Thursday, 4 August 2011

This afternoon, as I am working on a lengthy response to an email enquiry, these are what I am dealing with at the same time:

  • numerous requests from Brandon to let him watch cartoons, but they were denied to him because he didn’t nap. Had to bear with his incessant whinging for a while;
  • Andrea asking me to make her a motorbike with her building blocks;
  • Brandon asking if he can have his ‘surprise drink’ which I promised him if he would nap in the afternoon—but yes, you guessed it, I had to deny him. It was supposed to be a banana-honey-soya ice blended thingy;
  • Reuben pulling himself up to stand using my pant legs and very politely asking me to carry him;

And that was a 5-minute break, because Reuben decided to flip the switch to my computer.

I feel like I’m going insane sometimes, because I find myself unable to focus properly on any one thing at a time. It’s infuriating.
