Struggling To Name Baby #3

Saturday, 22 May 2010

I’m putting it down to these reasons:

  • we parents are slacking off
  • the novelty of having (yet) another Ngeowling has faded

Every other evening, Han and I will start a name suggesting session. It’s all verbal, done over dinner, while in the car on the way somewhere, or before we call it a night. It starts of with quite a rapid-fire succession of boy names coming from each of us in turn, but none of them really strike a chord with both of us.

Then come the session-killers:

“Fabio.”

“Eduaaardo.”

“Malchior!”

…and it’s all downhill from there.

This is why some parents name their kids V1.0, V2.0, V3.0…

Hilmy: Wait a minute, you remembered that my hair used to look like his?!

Annette: Hm. Interesting that even my techie hubby didn’t suggest that :p

Erna: You know what they say about the problem of having too many choices at your disposal, right?
