When Bad People Win

Monday, 28 January 2008

All of us have found ourselves bellyaching about people who do bad things and seem to get away scot-free. Lousy drivers, people who cut queues, murderers, crooked politicians—they’re everywhere, messing with practically everything. We lament about how we’d rather be in another country where the grass is greener.

Perhaps there *is* a certain amount of wrongness in people that we can pull ourselves away from. But the fact is that sin is an integral part of man, and we ourselves are certainly not free of wrongdoing either.

Instead of pointing fingers, we have to content ourselves with the thought that at the end of the day, we’ll leave the judging to god, who is all-knowing, all-seeing. Our world here is far from perfect—and I do believe that while we are living in it, we should do all that we possibly can to make *our* little part of the world a better place to be in. Concentrating on doing this takes away our self-inflicted suffering by removing our focus on our inability to serve justice on those we feel are in the wrong. We end up being better people for it too.

The best part is knowing that all it takes is our innately stubborn human determination, and a little effort. :)

> Do not fret because of evil men
or be envious of those who do wrong;

> for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.

> Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

> Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

> Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:

> He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

> Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.

> Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.

> For evil men will be cut off,
but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.

> A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
though you look for them, they will not be found.

> But the meek will inherit the land
and enjoy great peace.

> Psalm 37:1-11

Have a great start to your week!

Thank you for this words.

I know we are sinners like bad guys, but I can not support that I have been punished very hard because my faults, and I have to see that they have glory instead of correction by their crimes.

I do not say wether I am christian or not, but most of people, even my friends, are much more demanding with me than with another person in entire world. I am not Jesus, neither want to be him, neither want look like him.
Why people are so demanding with me?
Why people who should be happy about their prosperity, are angry with me?
There is ALWAYS people who say I am mad, and they say I do not work too. This is false, but no-body, neither friends, want to hear me. Everybody say the people who speak bad things about me are better than me, and this makes me very unhappy.
