Lafite

Dad, Lionel and I just had a magnificent lunch at Lafite, Shangri-La hotel. At RM68, the set lunch is an amazing bargain, considering the haute cuisine you get to sample. The most perfectly cooked cod (Lionel’s dish. It was so delicate!). Wagyu beef shepherd’s pie (My dish. It was swimming in what I think is fat… heavenly, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth goodness). Tantalizing morsels that are as pleasing to admire as they are to savour, stuck on the starter wall, placed in spoons and trays which you pluck off and take away to your table. And the dessert…! ![]()
I shan’t spoil the experience for you by giving away too much—the next time you’re planning a nice meal with someone special, make this place your venue of choice. The set lunch is available on weekdays, 12pm to 3pm. Allow yourself ample time to really kick back and relax, because that’s the only way you’ll truly get to enjoy what the chefs have so lovingly created—a true feast for all your senses.
