I have one pass to the staff sale on tomorrow (no wait, in a few hours) for the Estee Lauder group of companies--they include Aramis, Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan New York, Michael Kors, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Mac and Origins. Up to 70% off. I went to Bobbi Brown's website to get acquainted with its product range so that I'd know what to look out for. All those lovely colours and brushes for makeup are even more tempting at the prospect of knocked down prices.

I've decided not to go after all.

Because at the end of the day, no amount of face paint is going to take away the eye bags, the blemishes, or make me look like Andrea Fonseka whom Han thinks is cute. It's clear now that when I buy makeup I'm only doing it because I'm not quite happy with myself, and I'd like to think that it would help me get back to being able to turn heads on the street. Buying the stuff only makes me happy, and even so, only for a brief moment when I admire the nice colours sitting pretty in their palettes.

Then comes the guilt. We're really tight on finances this month.

So, I'll try to get up at the same early hour (the sale starts at 8am at the Renaissance Hotel, by the way) and head over to the wet market instead. Our hard earned money can be spent on heaps of fruits and other fresh produce. Which would help Han in his weight loss effort. And give Brandon a healthier daddy to play with.

Decisions seem a lot easier to make when your conscience is clear.

But damn it, it's already 2am...

Haven’t spoken to you for the longest time… is Brandon turning on his tummy yet? Little Dylan hasn’t.

Way to go, woman.. Mother’s sacrifices..:)

We should do lunch…soon….

Hey Chin Hui! Good to hear from you too.

No, Brandon hasn’t turned on his tummy yet but he does the reverse very well! I think it would be fun to let our boys meet each other–I don’t know how Brandon would react to another baby, he hasn’t met anyone his age yet.

See you on Thursday. 😉
