Last night Han and I were both dead on our feet, after 2 full days of non-stop packing, moving, cleaning, forgetting stuff from the house/apartment and having to do double trips, and not to mention sneezing from all the ancient dust we’ve also collected.
Many thanks to my in-laws who helped with the physical aspect of moving—Han’s mom, Su Fei, cousin Sau Kang and his mom. Once again my mum-in-law was the super project manager, whipping us on to make fantastic time even though we knew for sure our energy levels were rock bottom. Our minimally-furnished pad went from being covered in fine dust to being squeaky clean and completely filled with all our clothes in the wardrobes, kitchen utensils unpacked into the right cabinets, and even decked out in simple decorations—in just 2 days. If that isn’t efficient, I don’t know what is!
And many thanks to my family for making our place feel more like home.
Will post photos as soon as I can. Tomorrow’s my last day at work and we don’t have a phone line in the apartment yet, so Salameander might go quiet for a while. Looking forward to getting the essentials for our home.
Our home. What a way to mark our wedding anniversary.
