Time Out
Tuesday, 7 March 2006
First chilled-out Sunday in a long while, mainly snoozing to deal with the hot and humid weather. It's raining now though, lovely lovely. Dinner will be ready in about 15 minutes.
There's a certain psychological cheap thrill about getting to cook a serving of hot oats in the mornings for breakfast, and leaving the house knowing that the stomach hasn't got to bear with hunger pangs until much later in the day. And that Han's eating it too! Waheey, here's hoping that we can get cracking on a better diet for him soon.
Biggest news: Han's changed jobs. In a swift turn of events, he finally decided to leave his relatively more established company in the education industry to join a smaller outfit. The fact that the new place is just 15 minutes away from home was a great pull factor, apart from the more open and flat managerial structure there. The people heading the company are in their late 20s and one of them was a former varsity mate who decided to forgo his degree and concentrate on his budding business.
Then there's the sad reality that politics was the most likely reason why his present company was so slow to ready his counter offer on paper.
Oh well. He won't have to suffer the 1-hour drive to Cyberjaya by April! Yaaay! happified
Read my bible. Indulged in a scented candle bought from a home spa shop at 1 Utama. Went home appliance hunting, checking out fridges, washing machines, airconds and vaccum cleaners. Got sent to dozy, heavenly bliss when Han gave me a full body massage.
That's what a weekend should be like. 🙂

Heh, it was fun! There was a sneaky sense of satisfaction knowing that Janet and I were being monkeys right outside Mandarin Oriental. 😀
