At Home For The Week

Tuesday, 28 June 2005

Taking Thursday and Friday off wasn't going to be enough, given that my helpers don't have the liberty or license to take leave and settle all the arrangements during working hours. Thank God for C in sorting out my leave applications so quickly... seemingly little things like these turn out to be huge blessings (well, in my eyes at least).

Several outstanding to-do items for the wedding at the moment:

  1. Finalise the seating arrangments--this has to be the most challenging of tasks...
  2. Finalise the type of songs Don the keyboardist should play before the ceremony and during dinner
  3. Complete the media presentation--Han's working on that
  4. Meet with all the helpers and crew tomorrow night for a preliminary briefing before Saturday afternoon
  5. Ask parents about the 2 people whom they'd like to have seated at the main table with them
  6. Burn music CDs for the dinner and ceremony
  7. Confirm whether or not the band's really going to play on the night itself

Onward ho.

Hey Michelle, sounds like a lot of stuff you have to do.. I’m not sure if I could help with most things but I’m not working at the moment so just give me a call if you want me to do any errands ok? I am, after all, your bridesmaid 😛 Also is it confirmed that the briefing is Wednesday night then?

Hey Nicole! Thanks for offering to help, we’d appreciate it heaps. Yes, the brief is tomorrow night, 9pm at our house. We’ll try to keep the meeting really short.
