Blunted

Tuesday, 21 June 2005

I never really gave thought to the phrase 'to hit the ground running' till yesterday, when I contemplated all that has transpired in the past 3 months. Just thinking of how much stuff we always have to do even after office hours, especially with regards to our wedding preparations and Bantus things. Even when Han picks me up from the LRT station in the evenings, the moment we step out of the car back at home we're already moving towards other plans for the next few hours before we get to sleep.

Have we ever had time to do... well, nothing?

I desperately need rest. Not merely physical, but spiritual, emotional and mental rest.

...

Damned hormones. I wish I knew how to control myself better.

take time out to listen to your body… and what it tells you… we were made to self heal on most counts… just need to learn how to listen to your body when it tells you it needs rest… and learn to say no occasionally.. you’ll never know what that does for your system til you try it..
