Mozzie-Bitten And Awake

Sunday, 19 June 2005

It's 4:54am.

I woke up because the bloody mosquitoes (no pun intended) had feasted on my toes and ankles. There was NO way I could get back to sleep properly. So I roll out of bed, stumble to the bathroom and douse my feet in cold water. When I went back to lie down, Han had moved himself to stretch diagonally across the bed.

He was too heavy to shift physically, and even if I could I didn't want to wake him up in the process. Drat. *sigh*

At least there's some space on the desk to flip open the laptop and while away some time in the dark. It's a very pleasantly cool morning.

I wonder what percentage of the Muslim population actually wakes up at 4 in the morning to pray?

4am?! Only those who plan to go and pray in the mosque. The rest of us usually just make sure that we’re up by 6.30am because we can’t pray Subuh once the sun has come up, around 7.00am. Unless of course it’s fasting month and we are up by 4am. Hope I answered your question! :p

Ah, thanks Andrew! We get stereo-surround whenever it’s prayer time, as there are 2 mosques nearby our home. :p
